Sometimes you look at a Bagger, and the lines of the bike flow perfectly. When Pigs Fly is a perfect example of this, and Ken’s Custom Paint and Graphics was the perfect shop to customize this Bagger. Denny Rutledge’s heavily-customized ’07 Street Glide flows perfectly. When you see a Bagger with a great stance, you know that the builder not only knew what they were doing, but they planned out the customizing process beforehand.
The stock 88” Twin Cam motor has been bumped up to a 103”. Ken’s Custom rebuilt the motor in-house. While the motor was apart, the heads and jugs were sent out to Diamond Heads to be cut, like only they can. Wiseco were the pistons of choice, with PHD Dual Performance heads, T-Man Performance cams, a Power Commander to manage the fuel for the higher displacement, and a set of Rinehart True Duals to expel the exhaust quicker. The end result is an increase in power to the tune of 55%, with a dyno number right at 100 horsepower.
You don’t just bolt on a 21” front wheel to a Bagger; professionals like Ken’s correct the geometry first. With the front end apart, Ness Retro Fork Boots were installed along with a lowering kit and the lowers were powder coated black. The 21” front wheel is from Renegade, as are the rotors. Wrapped around that front wheel is a Paul Yaffe fender and an Avon tire. The rear fender is a Ness Bagger-Tail with Street Glide marker lights and the now mandatory stretched bags. Cyclesmiths supplied the 13” Apes with Küryakyn grips.
Since Ken’s is a paint and body shop, they stretched the gas tank and fabricated the custom molded side covers. The paint was applied in-house as well. On first glance you might miss the hog’s head graphics on the tank, but once you notice it, your eyes go back to it every time.
